Meet Dr. Inman

Christine Inman, DVM

Christine Inman has wanted to be a veterinarian for at least 6 years longer than she can remember.

In May 2014, when she announced her graduation from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine on social media, a former teacher reminded her that as a kindergartner, she used to talk about becoming a veterinarian.

Dr. Inman’s own recollection of aspiring to a career in veterinary medicine dates back to 5th grade when she chose as a special project to interview and shadow several veterinarians. As part of her final report, she put together an oral presentation, along with a picture board showing classmates how to spay a dog.

She has never considered another profession.

She especially enjoys building trusting relationships with clients and patients and becoming part of their lives and their care.

Dr. Inman began her undergraduate studies at Purdue as a biology major but went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2010. As an undergrad, she was a member of the Purdue Women’s Swimming and Diving team, serving as a team captain during her junior and senior years. While on the swim team, she visited Haiti with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

During her years in vet school, Dr. Inman participated actively in the Christian Veterinary Fellowship, highlighted by a mission trip to Nicaragua.

A native of Williamsport, on the western edge of Indiana, she returned to the west central area after graduation to begin her professional career at a mixed-animal practice, focusing at first on large animals. Two years later, she transitioned to small animal medicine at a second location within the same practice.

In January 2019, Dr. Inman joined a small-animal practice north of Indianapolis, but after five and a half years of commuting from her home in Brownsburg, she decided to look for opportunities to work closer to home.

An informal exploratory tour of Brownsburg Animal Clinic turned into an hours-long visit, culminating soon afterwards with an invitation to join the clinic team full-time as an associate.

Just before coming to work at the clinic in September 2024, Dr. Inman made a two-week trip to Mongolia with Christian Veterinary Mission.

In her free time, Dr. Inman is active in her church and enjoys hiking with her dog, biking, camping and riding her horse. She also has two cats.
