Registered Veterinary Technician

Erika’s commitment to caring for animals dates back to her days as a nine-year-old watching the “Animal Cops” television series. Taking the sick, sad animals she saw on the show to heart, she vowed one day to become a vocal advocate for every animal she could possibly help.

In 2018, she completed a degree in Veterinary Technology at Harrison College in Indianapolis and earned her certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2019.

Erika started work at our clinic in July 2023.

While fulfilling her personal pledge to help relieve suffering in her animal patients every day, Erika enjoys building relationships with their owners—our clients—and teaching them more about caring for their pets.

At home, Erika enjoys the companionship of three dogs—Serin, Apollo and Eris.

Courtney

Registered Veterinary Technician

Courtney has known since her days as an elementary school student she was meant for a career advocating for animals.

Originally inspired by the “Animal Cops” television series, she completed a degree at the Vet Tech Institute in 2016 and went on to earn certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2021.

Courtney joined the Brownsburg Animal Clinic team in July 2023.

On the job, she especially enjoys assisting with surgeries and dental procedures. When discussing our patients with their owners, she emphasizes the importance of preventive care.

After hours, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and mixed-breed dog Indy. She loves being outdoors and traveling.

Rita completed a bachelor of science degree in Veterinary Technology at Purdue University in 2008. A year before graduation, she had already met Indiana state requirements to become a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician.

Before joining Brownsburg Animal Clinic in August 2023, Rita worked in general veterinary practice for 13 years and emergency veterinary medicine for two years.

Rita was a teacher at the Vet Tech Institute for one year, and her love of teaching carries over into her relationships with our clients as she helps them learn the finer points of keeping their pets healthy and understanding and managing health conditions at home.

In her time away from the clinic, Rita enjoys playing board games with her family and being a hobby potter. Sharing her home are Lilly—a flat-coated retriever, Luna—a black domestic short-haired cat and Captain Jack—a one-eyed white-and-tan domestic short-hair.
